The Ministerial Internship Program (MIP) is a 9-month program required prior to receiving credentials as an Ordained Minister. Some of the program’s purposes are: (1) to facilitate practical ministerial training through an internship in a local church, (2) to foster biblical submission both to the supervising pastor and the program requirements, and (3) to establish a commitment between the Church of God and the ministry candidate. The program consists of three components: (1) eight seminars, (2) individual studies in the Bible, doctrine, and leadership, and (3) supervised practical experience with a pastor.
